Retail campaign Sydney
Returning client, Thinx, approached DisplayWise once again in 2019 for a retail pop up campaign designed to increase both brand awareness and retail sales in the Sydney market. Booked to feature on the premier strip of Pitt St Mall, the design delivered by Thinx entailed a deluge of vibrant colour, cheeky graphics and no-nonsense branding. With the brand team situated in New York, DisplayWise were also requested to manage the client’s retail inventory for the campaign and post event, provide a long-term storage solution for the purpose of re-using into the future.
Pop Up Kiosk
Pitt Street Mall, Sydney
Holding a premier location that overlooked the ongoing foot traffic of Pitt St Mall, DisplayWise worked directly with Thinx to ensure their vision was professionally and accurately brought to life, albeit on the other side of the globe. With DisplayWise being familiar with the chosen site’s declining surface, it was acknowledged early on that the build would require a custom designed, raised stage to level the ground underfoot.
Apart from levelling the site, the raised platform was also introduced to elevate the installation – an initiative that would increase both brand visibility and brand presence at the thoroughfare hotspot.
To ensure the brand guidelines were meticulously applied, DisplayWise applied PMS colour coded paint finishes across the cascade of display plinths and surface areas. The vibrant palette was finished with oversized print graphics and bold branding. Introducing adequate concealed storage with an extended length retail counter would ensure the build could sufficiently support the retailing element of the client’s brief.
Installed for a period of 7 days, the activation was delivered with striking results. Situated at the mouth of Westfield Sydney, the sheer vibrancy and scale of the build resulted in an appearance that remained visually strong amongst the busy backdrop of the crowds. The site elevation created by the custom-built stage was another considerable standout feature of the solution delivered.
With the retail campaign expected to return in the future, DisplayWise provided Thinx with a long-term storage solution of their retail pop up to ensure the design can be re-used and refurbished again in the future.
