House of Photography with Fuji Film

In parntership with April 5 Agency.
THE CHALLENGE
In partnership with April 5 Agency DisplayWise delivered the Fujifilm X Australia House of Photography brand activation at Chadstone Shopping Centre.
Within the high-traffic environment of Chadstone Shopping Centre, Fujifilm needed more than a standard retail footprint — the goal was to create a destination. The challenge was to design a 8×8 circular pop-up that could cut through the noise of the centre, draw people in from all angles, and deliver an immersive, hands-on brand experience, while still meeting retail, security, and operational requirements.
To bring this vision to life, Displaywise, in collaboration with April 5, needed to translate Fujifilm’s House of Photography concept into a cohesive, physical retail experience.
This required strategic thinking across structure, materials, and spatial flow — balancing bold visual impact with functionality, security, and customer movement. Ensuring that every touchpoint felt immersive, intuitive, and reflective of Fujifilm’s creative and innovative brand world.

THE SOLUTION
Displaywise, in collaboration with April 5, delivered the Fujifilm X Australia House of Photography — a bold, circular 8x8m activation designed to feel both architectural and inviting.
At the core of the design was a striking circular structure, wrapped in a high-impact branded bulkhead featuring the statement “House of Photography”. This overhead element created instant visibility across the centre, acting as both a beacon and a defined boundary for the space.
The open-entry design, with a wide, integrated entrance, encouraged seamless flow from the shopping centre into the activation. Inside, the layout was intentionally zoned to guide the customer journey — from perimeter product display walls and a dedicated film showcase, through to central interactive display tables designed for hands-on engagement.
Materiality and detailing elevated the experience, with warm timber finishes softening the environment and creating a gallery-like feel that contrasted with the technical nature of the products. Custom cabinetry with lockable sliding doors ensured security without compromising visibility, while integrated branding and considered sightlines extended the activation’s presence beyond its footprint.
Timber construction and cabinetry softened the environment, creating a warm, gallery-like feel, while lockable acrylic sliding doors ensured product security without compromising visibility. A hero display zone was positioned to capture attention and showcase key products, reinforcing both innovation and heritage.
