Showcasing innovation and design
From clever storage ideas to electronic locking systems and high-end appliances, Häfele constantly pushes the boundaries of product design and innovation. It was only fitting that the brand demanded something special for its custom built display stand for the Australian Woodworking Industry Supply Association (AWISA) Show in Sydney. The creative direction provided by the client was to build a big, bold and memorable “Häfele World”.
We incorporated the European brand’s product range into an open plan, two storey stand, with specific zones where visitors could immerse themselves in the products on display. The mezzanine level was designed as a birds-eye view over ‘Häfele World’ with the inclusion on the ground level of a 5m x 5m tree as a natural break to the industrial design, also providing a casual seating area for people moving through the exhibition.
The main structure was created using steel- look I-Beams, and by integrating the I-Beams over the mezzanine, we gave the impression of one united 6 metre high space, creating an imposing presence. Our innovation of a reusable 32mm screw-less floor created a high gloss and seamless solution, giving a premium and prestige finish over other traditional exhibition space flooring.
With endless innovations on show, the brand activation was a huge success for Häfele and its partners. Darren Wooding from Häfele commented, ‘Designers, architects and builders were left speechless with what they witnessed. Our display has been shared all over the world, now setting a new benchmark for our other subsidiaries including Germany, Italy and the US’.
