Retail pop up design for Sydney launch campaign
A proven trailblazer in the retail sector, Scentre Group approached DisplayWise to design and build a pop up retail initiative for their client, Carbar. Australian start-up Carbar is a subscription based service aimed at revolutionising the automotive industry as we know it. To coincide with Scentre Group’s integrated retail marketing campaign, Senior Client Production Manager, Liz Zacka, engaged DisplayWise to design and build a premium, brand-focused retail display that would feature inside Westfield Sydney.
Holding a position that fell adjacent to the country’s retail elite, Scentre Group requested a retail pop up design that entailed a balance of clear and concise brand messaging alongside polished and refined build finishes.
Working closely with the team at Scentre Group, DisplayWise developed a retail display to mimic the sheer simplicity of the Carbar service. Layered amongst a foundation of bright white, the build featured a considered list of design elements resulting in its eye-catching appeal. A distinct set of features including the opal illuminated lighting, discreet and secure storage solutions and the accent v-groove panelling were just a small list of designer finishes applied throughout.
A notable consideration was the positioning of Carbar’s key brand messaging housed inside a curated gallery of striking graphics. Displayed with a menu-like appearance, the gallery allowed the passer-by to learn more about the Carbar subscription service. Finished with feature down lighting, the gallery was further duplicated on the opposite side of the pop up’s facade giving 360-degree brand visibility for the retail initiative.
Over the course of 2 weeks, customers at Westfield Sydney were delighted to learn of the newly launched automotive subscription service. The pop up was then transported and installed at neighbouring retail precinct, Warringah Mall before reaching its permanent destination at Carbar’s Sydney headquarters in Western Sydney.
Staying true to the Carbar brand and the objectives outlined by client Scentre Group, DisplayWise developed a retail pop up that portrayed clear and concise brand messaging amongst an aesthetic that was both contemporary yet unassuming.
