Reconnected Marketing
Made to Be Seen with Amazon Alexa Echo Range
THE CHALLENGE
In partnership with Reconnected Marketing, DisplayWise was engaged to design and deliver an experiential, sensory-led pop up that would bring Amazon Alexa’s latest Echo range to life, alongside the existing Ring and Fire TV products.
The brief was to create a fully immersive environment —transforming smart technology into something tangible, memorable and human. The primary objective was to drive awareness of the full Amazon Devices range, helping to build product understanding and consideration throughout the critical Christmas gifting period. The pop up experience itself also needed to showcase how the products worked together while indirectly supporting conversion through in-mall retail partners such as JB Hi-Fi.
To bring this vision to life, DisplayWise would need to translate Reconnected Marketing’s creative concepts into a cohesive physical experience, making strategic recommendations across structure, materials and spatial flow to ensure every touchpoint reflected Amazon Alexa’s premium, technologically advanced brand.

THE SOLUTION
DisplayWise responded by designing and delivering a brand experience that reimagined Amazon Alexa’s Echo range as a sensorial retail journey that customers could not only see, but feel too. Amazon Echo is a line of smart speakers and displays developed by Amazon that uses the Alexa voice service to play music, control smart home devices, set alarms, and provide information.
For the Echo project, a central architectural arch welcomed shoppers to the space, featuring an edge-lit Amazon Smile logo that reinforced brand presence and guided visitor flow into the product display. Custom round plinths with integrated LED base lighting elevated key products, creating a floating, future-focused effect.
At the heart of the space were two sculptural “Echo Chambers“ or circular silos, purpose-built to create moments of focus, product trial and interaction. The Amazon Echo pop up was located on Level 1, Centre Court, which positioned the space in-between two escalators within Highpoint Shopping Centre.
This presented a unique opportunity to create a visual hierarchy for the brand that extended vertically within the footprint, rather than solely on the floor. Wrapped in layered silver and blue finishes and softened with velvet curtains, each Amazon Alexa Echo Chamber became an intimate environment where product, sound and light worked together to bring the Echo ecosystem to life. On top of the silos, timber slat roofs with bold Alexa branding were designed for maximum visibility from surrounding sightlines, ensuring the activation made an impact well beyond the immediate footprint.
Every material choice, lighting detail and spatial decision was carefully considered to reflect Amazon’s premium, forward- thinking brand while remaining warm, tactile and inviting. Delivered end-to-end by our team—from concept and custom fabrication through to lighting integration, installation and dismantle—the activation transformed brand strategy into a tangible, emotionally engaging experience.

THE RESULT
The activation delivered a high-impact retail experience that captured attention, encouraged dwell time and invited hands-on engagement with Amazon Alexa’s Echo range. The immersive design translated complex smart technology into a tactile, sensory journey—making the products easier to understand, interact with and remember.
Strong architectural presence, layered lighting and intuitive
spatial flow ensured the pop up stood out within the Highpoint
environment, while seamlessly guiding visitors through product
discovery and live demonstrations. The result was a refined,
future-focused brand moment that strengthened connection, boosted engagement and positioned Amazon’s Echo range as both innovative and human-centred.
“A huge well done to our Reconnected and Amazon teams on the recent experiential campaign for Echo. The experience itself — a dramatised trial of the Echo sound experience within our pods — was incredibly engaging, but what truly elevated the campaign was the strategic thinking behind it. Anyone who has worked in experiential knows you’re only as strong as your partners, and this campaign is a perfect example of what’s possible when collaboration, creativity and strategy align.”
