Australian Healthcare Week 2021 – Exhibitions make a strong comeback

DisplayWise proudly produced three bespoke exhibition stands at the recent 10th Australian Healthcare Week Expo 2021 held in March, at the International Convention Centre, Sydney. The show was the first large business exhibition to return in a COVIDSafe environment in New South Wales.

Following an unprecedented year for the Healthcare industry, the exhibition saw thousands of attendees come together for the two-day event, which showcased the latest product solutions, technologies, and innovations in the industry

Delegates were thrilled to be able to meet in person, consult and do business in a traditional exhibition environment once again. Participating at this year’s show were two longstanding DisplayWise clients, Hills Limited and Caroma.

Hills Limited initially approached DisplayWise in 2019 to refurbish an existing stand that we had previously designed for their business. With versatility in mind, the client sought a stand solution that could be used for a variety of purposes, catering to different events and exhibitions, both large and small in scale.

The stand needed to showcase a variety of products and services across the vast array of product categories within their business, such as Security, Surveillance and IT, Nurse Call and Patient Engagement.

The refurbished stand design was developed for Hills Health Solutions Nurse Call and Patient Engagement category. The stand was to showcase over 25 healthcare devices, which can be adapted to support a variety of clinical and aged care applications, including COVID response.

The integration of technology was a critical part of the build, ensuring interactive experiences and demonstrating the device capabilities of their products as they would be used in a real-life healthcare setting. Included in the design was a replica of their Nurse Call Solution.

Two days prior to the 2020 Australian Healthcare Week Exhibition, the event was cancelled due to the COVID outbreak. The sudden change of plans saw DisplayWise manage the storage of the stand until it was again required in 2021.

DisplayWise successfully responded to the updated brief, amending the original stand design, and tailoring the artwork to include new and modified solutions.

DisplayWise fostered their relationship with Hills and were proud to support their endeavour to showcase Australian innovation and the new way healthcare will be delivered in the future.

Hills Health Solutions were extremely pleased with the results:

“We saw the need and we moved quickly to design, prototype, test, produce and market a new range unlike anything currently available. It all happened very quickly; we developed the range in under four weeks.”

Similarly, to the Hills project, having partnered with Display Wise for over a decade, Caroma were scheduled to exhibit at the 2020 Australian Healthcare Week Expo. Having confidence in the DisplayWise teams’ understanding of their brand vision, the objective of the new brief was to showcase a range of products from the Caroma LiveWell’s Care collection; products designed to assist people with restricted movement or disabilities suitable for hospital, aged care, and commercial applications.

DisplayWise designed a modular 6m x 3m exhibition stand that could be used in multiple configurations. The client wanted to ensure visitors could get hands-on and explore the products on display, designed to suit many bathroom designs. Product lines included were the brand’s CleanFlush revolutionary rimless technology, Care Plus Care Basin Mixer, Care Plus Shower Mixer and more.

Working closely with the Caroma team, DisplayWise seamlessly integrated their products into the stand display, as they would fit in a bathroom environment. The wall panels were made up of custom v-groove tile patterns, and materials such as birch ply, laminated panels, and painted panels, to recreate a bathroom setting.

The wall panels were interchangeable giving flexibility of design styles – to accommodate various products, colours and textures, enabling the stand to be easily updated for future exhibitions. The overhead timber structure also allowed for lighting and styling elements such as plants and LED strips on the wall panel base all adding a sophisticated touch to the overall stand design.

From design through to installation, Caroma was pleased with the full project management offered by the DisplayWise team.
